Fellowship Participants Chih-Wei LinFounder Chih-Wei Lin, founder of Formosa Circus Art (FOCA), has over twenty-five years of experience in the performing arts and culture sector. He established FOCA in 2011 to revitalize Taiwan’s circus arts, guiding the company to become a pioneer in Taiwan’s contemporary circus. Since debuting at Festival OFF Avignon in 2013, FOCA has toured over 100 cities across Europe, Asia, and Africa, showcasing Taiwan’s vibrant circus culture worldwide. Under his leadership, FOCA has pushed creative boundaries through cross-disciplinary and international collaboration, a key milestone under his direction was the 2023 launch of the "FOCASA Circus Festival," featuring an award-winning large-scale big top event and solidifying Asia’s unique presence in the global circus arts scene.
