Maya Roest

Maya Roest born in 1988 is an experienced dancer at Scapino Ballet Rotterdam. She won several grants and dance prizes, including second prize at the Choreography Solo Competition in Stuttgart and the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation grant. In 2017, Maya Roest co-founded the choreography competition RIDCC, with the aim of creating opportunities for choreographers.

Under her co-leadership, RIDCC has now rapidly developed into an international dance competition and festival with a professional organization, where creating networks, offering real opportunities for emerging choreographers and uniting the international dance field stands central. RIDCC is a multi-day festival that enjoys attention from the                                                                              international dance field.
