Karl Taylor is a producer and curator for Live Art and contemporary performance based in Glasgow. He is currently Festival Manager for Take Me Somewhere; a city-wide international biannual, presenting radical, experimental performance from around the world.

From 2017 - 2025 he was director of BUZZCUT; an organisation supporting early career experimental performance makers. During his directorship he mentored, advocated for & supported hundreds of artists in the development of their projects and international networks. He is a sector mentor with the Federation of Scottish Theatre & was a panellist for the Creative Scotland ‘Made in Scotland’ Awards.

Prior to this he worked as a producer in London for the Live Art Development Agency, Artsadmin, Duckie & Liberty Festival for Disability Arts, as well as freelance for artists Lucy McCormick, Tania El Khoury & Scottee.

He has a degree in Performance from Queen Mary University of London and is on the board of Wunderbar (Gateshead).
