Bolivia
Jorge Ernesto Barrón is a cultural producer and theatre maker. He is the founder and director of the theatre group Mosaico Colectivo and PULSOS – Encuentro Internacional de Artes Escénicas, a gathering conceived to connect Bolivian artists with the international scene, prioritizing the exchange of processes over the showcase of results. PULSOS brings together local and international artists through performances, co-productions, workshops, and spaces for artistic exchange. Alongside his work in cultural management and production, Barrón has received several recognitions, including the "Peter Travesí Canedo" National Theater Award three times; mentions at the National Theater Award (Best Original Playwriting), the Municipal Video Contest, and the Municipal Dramatic Writing Contest; and first place in playwriting at the "Letras e Imágenes de Nuevo Tiempo" contest. He has participated in festivals, residencies, and artistic programs in Bolivia and abroad, including Brazil, Peru, Chile, Argentina, the United States, Mexico, Colombia, Spain, France, Germany, and Belgium.
