Teshome Wondimu is the founder and executive director of the non-governmental culture organization Selam Sweden, and its branch organizations Selam Ethiopia and Uganda. Within Selam, Teshome leads festivals, concerts, tours, club nights, and cultural exchange projects and is also engaged in cultural development work in different parts of Africa. Teshome is a board member of The Swedish Arts Grants Committee, he has been awarded the Stockholm City price of Honour (Stockholm Stads Hederspris) for his work and he is himself a classically trained musician with the Clarinet and Saxofon as his major instruments.
