Bente Kahan is
a Norwegian-born Jewish actress, musician, director and playwright, who has
been the director of the Center for Jewish Culture and Education at the White
Stork Synagogue since 2005. The Bente
Kahan Foundation established by her was responsible for the renovation of the
White Stork Synagogue that was completed in May of 2010. Under her leadership
this historic building has become a prestigious venue for concerts, theatre
performances and exhibitions presented in a spirit of mutual respect and cultural
diversity.

Urodzona
w Norwegii Bente Kahan jest żydowską aktorką, muzykiem, reżyserem i
dramaturgiem, a od 2005 r. dyrektorem
Centrum Żydowskiej Kultury i Edukacji w Synagodze Pod Białym Bocianem. Fundacja
Bente Kahan, której jest twórczynią, odpowiadała za renowację Synagogi Pod
Białym Bocianem, ukończoną w maju 2010 r. Pod kierunkiem Bente Kahan ten
historyczny budynek stał się prestiżowym miejscem koncertów, przedstawień
teatralnych oraz wystaw prezentowanych w duchu wzajemnego szacunku i
różnorodności kulturowej.
