Fellowship Participants![]() Caecilia ThunnissenArtistic and Executive Director Caecilia Thunnissen (1972) is artistic and managing director of Oorkaan. Founded in Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw in 2000, Oorkaan is the only organisation in the Netherlands dedicated exclusively to the creation of high-quality staged concerts for young audiences. Caecilia directed two Oorkaan family concerts with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. With this orchestra she also directed two semi-staged Wagner operas: Lohengrin in 2015, with tenor Klaus Florian Vogt, and Der fliegende Holländer in 2013, conducted by Andris Nelsons. In 2015 Caecilia created “WANNAPLAYground”, an interactive playground for grown-ups where contemporary classical music, lighting and landscape converge to encourage interplay between participants. From 2010 until 2012 she was dramaturge and company manager of Dance Company Nanine Linning in Osnabrück, Germany. One of her productions with Linning was nominated for Der Faust, Germany’s prestigious theatre prize.
