| Fellowship Participant – Xavier Gobin |
Fellowship Participants![]() Xavier GobinProducer After a 9-year dancer career in renowned companies, Xavier Gobin decided in 2006 to give youth from developing countries the same opportunities he had to blossom through artistic expression, with 3 major guidelines: -support training and access to employment for marginalized artists -build up local performance venues for their financial empowerment -set up international tours to improve the exposure of social circus. Working in Cambodia during 8 years with the NGO “Phare Ponleu Selpak” and its modern circus department, he then created "Hors Jeu" back in France in 2015, to continue training talents and building sustainable careers in places where culture does not have a space to enchant the daily life of its inhabitants and performers. Straddling the challenges of performing arts production, interculturalism, skills transmission and development policies, his next goal is to create a social circus festival gathering high-end artists saved from miserable and violent context thanks to performing art, transmitting hope, resilience, and excellence. >>View Xavier's member profile (member sign-in required) Thank you to ISPA’s Advocacy Partners and Fellowship Challenge Campaign donors for their generous support of the Global Fellowship Program.
