Fellowship Participants![]() Sepehr SharifzadehArtistic Director Sepehr is an independent creative producer, curator, festival maker, and researcher. He started his career in performing arts as a creative writer, puppeteer, clown, and mime. At 24, he co-founded the first international theatre agency in Iran, aiming to facilitate the cultural exchange between Iran and the International performing arts scene. His work experience encompasses project coordination, artistic programming and advisement, and curation with several international festivals and organizations spanning BOZAR, the festival Academy, IETM, Tehran contemporary music festival, Marivan street theatre festival, puppet Festival of Tehran-Mobarak, and Fadjr theatre festival. As an alumnus of The Festival Academy (Belgium), he collaborates with them in the alumni steering committee. He has co-founded two independent, alternative, and artist-led festivals, including the Micro-theatre festival and Re-connect online performance festival in light of the Covid19 pandemic.
