Dancer, choreographer, curator and cultural initiator. Graduated from the Jerusalem High School for the Arts, and served in the IDF Theater department. Schechter was dancing in various dance companies, among them: Senedance NYC, the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company, Charleroi Danses (Brussels), Vertigo (Jerusalem) and more.... Since 2009 Schechter has been creating works that were presented hundreds of times in Israel and abroad. He's the recipient of the silver medal at the International Choreography Competition held in Beijing, July 2011. Elad Schechter lives in the Nachlaot neighborhood in Jerusalem and raises his two kids in shared parenthood, with a woman couple.

Over the years Schechter has initiated, produced and curated these projects; ‘From Jaffa to Agripas’ Festival since 2014. 'Alliance House' - a home for creative communities since 2016. ‘Interstices’ Montréal-Jerusalem artistic exchange for cultural identity enhancement. ‘Room Service’ festival - collaboration between the Jerusalem Street Orchestra and ‘Brown Hotels’ in Jerusalem, 2022.
