Theatre Director and Manager
Le Champ Brûlé - Compagnie théâtrale d'Elina Kulikova
Switzerland

Elina Kulikova is a theatre director, performance artist, and writer with a major in Arts and a minor in Human Rights based in Switzerland. Graduated from Bard College (NY, USA). She is running her own theatre company in Geneva and working in the field of political and socially engaged theatre.

Until 2022, her goal was to develop theatre in the Russian Federation, the country of her origin, challenging the patriarchal and imperialist narrative. In February 2022, after Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Elina left Russia under propagandist attack to continue her artistic and human rights work abroad. She is now pursuing a Master's at La Manufacture Lausanne, Switzerland, while creating anti-war projects, focused on themes of war crimes, state repression, and state gender violence.

Elina is a fellow of the Global Theatre and Politics program at Georgetown University, an invited UN human rights speaker, and an antiwar activist.
